UniSZA Researcher Discovers Nest of Red-Bellied Eagle in Malaysia


Kuala Lumpur: A researcher from the University of Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) has made a groundbreaking discovery by locating a nest of the red-bellied eagle in Malaysia. This finding marks the first recorded discovery of such a nest in the country and is a rare occurrence on a global scale.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, researcher Anuar emphasized the significance of this discovery, stating that the data gathered will be instrumental for conservation biology research, biodiversity monitoring, and forest ecosystem assessment. This aligns with the objectives of the Convention on Biological Diversity, which advocates for biodiversity conservation as a foundation for sustainable development.



Anuar further highlighted the importance of preserving the animal’s habitat in Malaysia to ensure the protection of biodiversity for future generations. This discovery is expected to contribute significantly to global conservation efforts and underscores the need for continued commitment to protecting diverse ecosystems.
