Labok: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has collected more than RM101 million in outstanding summonses through the special flat-rate RM150 compound offer since early January to date. JPJ Deputy Director-General (Planning and Operations) Datuk Jazmanie Shafawi announced that this initiative targeted three specific types of offences.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the special compound addressed Automated Awareness Safety System (AwAS) summons [53A], Interview Notice (114), and Sticker/JPJ(P)23 Summons Notice (115). Datuk Jazmanie revealed that for AwAS summonses alone, 635,294 notices were issued, resulting in collections exceeding RM95.3 million. Notice 114 saw 35,183 notices amounting to RM5.29 million, while Notice 115 had 8,266 notices with collections surpassing RM1.23 million.
Datuk Jazmanie shared these details after participating in an event where he handed over Jalur Gemilang flags and helmets during the ‘Semarak Kemerdekaan 2025’ programme with the National Security Council (MKN) at the Labok Enforcement Station. He emphasized that JPJ’s role extends beyond ensuring road laws are observed; it also includes promoting discipline, safety, and patriotism within the community.
