Kuala lumpur: NexG Bhd maintains that its disclosures have been made in a timely and transparent manner, and reflect its continued adherence to regulatory standards and corporate governance best practices.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the security-related integrated technology solutions provider stated that all material information relating to the company's investments has been duly disclosed via official announcements to Bursa Malaysia in accordance with listing requirements, as well as through other public communications. This includes the rationale, structure, and relevant corporate developments.
"NexG acknowledges receipt of the memorandum issued by Malaysia Corruption Watch (MCW) in relation to the company's investments. NexG wishes to emphasise that it treats the matters raised with due seriousness and remains firmly committed to the principles of transparency, good governance, and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements," the company said in a statement today.
In line with good governance practices and to avoid speculation that may prejudice any parties, NexG said it would not be engaging in further public commentary on the specific allegations at this juncture. The company also mentioned that it would continue to cooperate fully with any relevant regulatory or enforcement authorities, should any clarification or review be required.
According to reports previously, the MCW lodged a police report seeking a full investigation into the alleged misappropriation of corporate funds involving NexG. The report focuses on alleged suspicious financial transactions and potential irregularities occurring between November 2024 and September 2025. This period coincided with the tenure of Victor Chin Boon Long as the company's chief operating officer.
Other reports noted that MCW has urged NexG chief executive officer Datuk Abu Hanifah Noordin to ensure an internal probe proceeds without delay into allegations tied to former chief operating officer Victor Chin, cautioning that inaction could give rise to perceptions of a cover-up.
