Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower on Tuesday. At 9.26 am, the September 2026 contracts slid 8.5 points to 1,678.50, October 2026 decreased nine points to 1,677.50, while December 2026 and March 2027 fell 11.0 points each to 1,681.50 and 1,666.00, respectively.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover was recorded at 2,140, with open interest totalling 39,868 contracts. The movement in futures contracts was reflected in the cash market as well. At 9.44 am, the FBM KLCI decreased by 2.38 points to 1,712.41 from Monday's close of 1,714.79.
