Negeri sembilan: Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim has denied claims that UMNO president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was involved in attempts to remove Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as the Yang diPertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ismail expressed his hope that the issue concerning Negeri Sembilan's customs and traditions would be resolved amicably and in accordance with the law, ensuring stability, harmony, and the well-being of the people. He addressed the claims following a report published by The Straits Times, emphasizing that he firmly denies any involvement of Ahmad Zahid in attempts to remove Tuanku Muhriz.

Ismail reiterated his support for the UMNO president and the party's leadership, which he stated has consistently upheld, defended, and safeguarded the dignity of the Malay royal institution and the principles of constitutional monarchy.
