Tourist Locations in Negeri Sembilan See Surge in Visitors During School Holidays

Kuala lumpur: Most tourist locations in Negeri Sembilan continue to be packed with visitors, particularly during the school holidays that began in mid-December, as well as in conjunction with Visit Negeri Sembilan Year (TMNS) 2026.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a survey at a snow theme park in Seremban and major beaches in Port Dickson found these locations to be focal points for families taking the opportunity to bring their children while celebrating the launch of TMNS. Visitor Saadatul Akmar Mohamad Saad from Ampang, Selangor expressed that her family had planned a visit to Seremban specifically to experience the snow theme park.

"We spent the whole day at this theme park, which is said to be the largest in Malaysia, because we were attracted to the cold atmosphere that feels like being overseas. Going abroad to play in the snow is difficult, but here we can play to our heart's content," said Saadatul Akmar, a mother of three.

Private sector employee Mohammad Azlan Rahman from Johor Bahru mentioned that his family was on a short holiday in Negeri Sembilan, exploring attractions in the district and Kuala Pilah. He shared that enjoying traditional Negeri Sembilan cuisine was a highlight of their trip, along with experiencing the village atmosphere in Kuala Pilah and visiting the Seri Menanti Palace museum.

Salwani Osman, a visitor from Melaka, chose Teluk Kemang for a short getaway with friends. She noted improvements in cleanliness and beauty since her last visit two years ago, making their picnic and swim more enjoyable.

Meanwhile, Haziz Hassan, Chairman of the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Negeri Sembilan, reported an increase in hotel room bookings, especially in Port Dickson, with occupancy rates reaching 80 to 90 percent during the school holidays. He highlighted the surge during the Christmas holidays and New Year's Eve celebrations, with most hotels fully booked.

State Tourism, Culture, and Arts Committee Chairman Nicole Tan previously stated that over 25 million tourists are targeted to visit Negeri Sembilan this year, with more than 250 tourism products available, including health tourism.
