Thailand: Thailand's National Biopharmaceutical Facility (NBF) has invited Malaysian government agencies, researchers, and academic institutions to collaborate in strengthening biopharmaceutical research, innovation, and manufacturing capabilities for the benefit of the ASEAN region.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr. Warinthorn Songkasiri, the acting director of NBF, emphasized the facility's commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that support the development of scientific expertise, skilled talent, advanced technologies, and industrial capabilities across the region. The NBF serves as Thailand's National Vaccine Security Facility and plays a crucial role in the country's biopharmaceutical industry, focusing on enhancing research, development, and manufacturing capabilities to prepare for future public health challenges.

Dr. Warinthorn, who also serves as vice-president for Research Strategy at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), highlighted Malaysia's strong expertise in healthcare, medical research, and higher education, which makes it a valuable partner in advancing regional biopharmaceutical development.
