Vientiane: South Korea has committed to a substantial grant of RM25 million (approximately US$6 million) aimed at upgrading the water supply infrastructure in Bolikhamxay province. This initiative, spanning from 2025 to 2029, is focused on ensuring that residents have sustainable access to clean water and improved sanitation facilities.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the funding is anticipated to significantly improve the quality of life for local communities by addressing long-standing water supply challenges. The project is a vital component of Bolikhamxay’s development plans and aligns with broader efforts to enhance public health and environmental sustainability across the region.
The South Korean grant will be directed towards modernizing existing water systems and implementing advanced technologies to optimize water distribution. This endeavor is expected to create employment opportunities during the construction phase and foster collaboration between South Korean and Lao professionals, thereby enh
