Through an industrial visit programme at its facility in the Automotive High-Tech Valley (AHTV) in Tanjong Malim, Proton provided 35 trainees from GiatMARA Tanjong Malim with the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into actual industry requirements and potential career prospects.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Proton chief human resources officer, Dr Kasuma Satria Mat Jadi, stated that the programme focuses on building job readiness among trainees, including exposure to professional work culture, quality standards, and the use of modern technology in vehicle manufacturing. Dr Kasuma emphasized the significance of local young talent possessing not only technical skills but also a comprehensive understanding of the evolving industry landscape.

He highlighted that early exposure helps trainees make clearer career plans and enhances their employability in the automotive sector. During the visit, trainees were also given the opportunity to attend a sharing session with Proton's head of design, Azlan Othman, who spoke on the role of creativity and innovation in modern automotive product development.

Dr Kasuma added that the initiative, supported by Proton, not only provides valuable exposure for trainees but also highlights the strategic role of AHTV in bridging the gap between skills training and actual industry requirements.
