Kangar: The National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) of Perlis is actively encouraging couples who have been married for over a year without children to avail themselves of the free services offered under the Fertility Treatment Assistance and Infertility Advocacy (BuAI) Programme.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fairee Osman @ Azmi, the acting director of Perlis LPPKN, highlighted that the initiative not only offers guidance and advocacy but also includes early fertility screening services, appropriate treatment assistance, and referrals to health facilities under LPPKN. Despite the program’s benefits, only eight couples have participated so far this year, falling short of the program’s target of 100 couples.
Fairee emphasized that the BuAI initiative is accessible to both men and women interested in early fertility screening and treatment. The program specifically targets couples with a household income of less than RM10,000 per month. He shared these insights during the state-level Father’s Day 2025 celebration, officiated by Wan Badariah Wan Saad, chairman of the state Women, Family and Community Development, Unity and Environment Committee.
Couples interested in exploring these services are encouraged to obtain further details from the LPPKN Office in Perlis.
