PDRM FC and Kelantan TRW Penalized RM10,000 Each for Incomplete Financial Documentation Submission

Kuala lumpur: PDRM FC and the Kelantan Real Warriors (TRW FC) have been fined RM10,000 each for failing to submit complete documents for the fifth "In-Season" Financial Fair Play (FFP) submission for the 2025-2026 Malaysian Football League (MFL) season. This penalty was announced by Sheikh Mohd Nasir Sheikh Mohd Sharif, Chairman of the MFL FFP First Instance Body (FIB), highlighting a violation of Article 11 of the 2025-2026 Season FFP Regulations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, both clubs have outstanding salary payments to employees and arrears with relevant government agencies as of April. They have been given a 14-day period to submit the missing documents and provide proof of payment or a settlement plan for these arrears. This decision followed an assessment by the MFL FFP FIB Committee on the financial compliance of Malaysian League clubs during the Fifth "In-Season" Documentation Submission Summary Meeting.

Additionally, Kuala Lumpur City FC is also facing issues with employee salary arrears and outstanding payments to government agencies. KL City will be under closer scrutiny and has also been given 14 days to resolve these financial issues.

In contrast, six clubs, namely Johor Darul Ta'zim FC, Selangor FC, Penang FC, Kuching FC, DPMM FC, and Immigration FC, have fully complied with the MFL FFP requirements, having no salary arrears or outstanding government payments.

While Sabah FC, Melaka FC, Negeri Sembilan FC, and Terengganu FC have no employee salary arrears, they still owe payments to government agencies. These clubs will receive official reminders to settle the arrears within the designated timeframe.

Sheikh Mohd Nasir emphasized the distinction between Club Licensing and FFP, clarifying that they are separate regulatory frameworks with different mechanisms, evaluation criteria, reporting periods, and submission deadlines. Compliance with one does not imply compliance with the other, and clubs must independently meet the requirements of both processes.
