Pahang Allocated RM5.9 Billion for 38 Water Infrastructure Projects

Kuantan: The federal government, through the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), has approved 38 water infrastructure development projects in Pahang, costing RM5.9 billion under the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP). PETRA Deputy Secretary-General (Water) Datuk Mohd Rodzwan Mohd Baba Sakri announced this allocation at the World Water Day (HAS) celebration.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, RM504.2 million was allocated this year under the Fifth Rolling Plan (RP5). This initiative reflects the federal government’s determination to ensure access to clean water and sustainable supply services for the people of Pahang. Datuk Mohd Rodzwan emphasized the federal government’s commitment to the sustainable implementation of these projects to provide maximum impact for the residents of Pahang.

The World Water Day celebration, themed “Water for Life” and with the slogan “AirKU, HidupKU, DuniaKU,” was held for two days at Dataran Sayangi Kuantan. The event was opened by the Pahang Investment, Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee chairman, Datuk Mohamad Nizar Mohamad Najib.
