Ampang: TikTok Shop has become the first e-commerce platform to implement the Jualan Ihsan RAHMAH programme in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN). Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali emphasized that the collaboration brings the RAHMAH Sales concept to the online sphere, simplifying the process for consumers to buy essential goods at reduced prices.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, under the programme, consumers can purchase selected essential goods comprising 75 stock keeping units (SKUs) at discounted prices from participating retailers HeroMarket and KedaiFGV via TikTok Shop. The initiative was suggested as a way to bring RAHMAH Sales online, but the government had to evaluate its resources before implementing such an initiative. Fortunately, TikTok took the lead by pioneering the online Jualan Ihsan RAHMAH initiative, as stated by Armizan during the JomLokal 2026: Lokal Jaga Lokal Festival in Ampang where the programme was officially launched.
TikTok Shop is contributing RM180 million towards the implementation of three key components of the programme. These include discount vouchers offering up to 30 per cent savings on selected essential goods, zero per cent commission for 56 product subcategories, reduced platform fees for an additional 39 subcategories, and a RM2 shipping rebate for every eligible order nationwide. These measures are designed to lower operating costs for sellers and reduce online shopping expenses for consumers.
The programme aims to achieve three main objectives: elevating local products, addressing the cost of living, and supporting entrepreneurs in boosting their income. Furthermore, Armizan mentioned that the programme complements the Buy Malaysian Products Campaign (JOM MALAYSIA), launched on June 27, by promoting a unified national approach to supporting local products, services, and entrepreneurs.
