Kuala lumpur: Malaysia and India intend to strengthen the Putrajaya-New Delhi bilateral relationship to a more strategic and comprehensive level, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He said that he received a phone call from his counterpart Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last night to discuss the efforts.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized that India remains an important partner of Malaysia in the fields of trade and investment, in addition to close cooperation in the technology, education, and regional security sectors. He conveyed this message in a post on the X social media platform today.
Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, noted that the discussion with Modi also included the 47th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, which is set to take place at the end of this month.
