Rompin: The National-Level 2025 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Innovation Competition, known as PERISA’25, aims to serve as a platform for developing innovative products that align with technological advancements and address current market needs. Polytechnic and Community College Education Department director-general Datuk Dr Mohd Zahari Ismail highlighted the dual role of PERISA’25 as both a competitive arena and a strategic collaboration that links TVET institutes with the industry and community.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk Dr Mohd Zahari emphasized the crucial role of innovation as a bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical industry requirements, underlining its importance at every level of TVET education. He made these remarks during the launch of PERISA’25 at the Rompin Community College (KKRP). The event, themed ‘Inovasi TVET Memperkasa Komuniti MADANI’ (TVET Innovation Empowers MADANI Community), is organized by the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education (JPPKK) in collaboration with KKRP, showcasing over 115 innovative products created by educators from various TVET agencies.
The competition, which spans three days starting from Thursday (Aug 28), includes participation from vocational colleges, Advanced Technology Training Centres (ADTECs), National Youth Skills Institutes (IKBNs), and schools. In the Technology and Engineering category, the Port Dickson Polytechnic of Negeri Sembilan secured the top position, while the Bentong Community College excelled in the Information Technology and Applied Sciences category.
Furthermore, the Kuantan Community College emerged victorious in both the Commerce, Hospitality, Art and Design, and the Social Sciences, Administration and Management categories. Meanwhile, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Karak claimed the first place in the Open category, highlighting the diverse range of talent and creativity fostered by PERISA’25.
