Kuantan: The Pahang government has launched the Pahang State Economic Master Plan 2025-2030 (PET30) aimed at achieving a comprehensive economic transformation by leveraging the state’s resources, aligning with global market realities, and addressing the aspirations of the people.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail highlighted that PET30 is structured around three key pillars: enhancing people’s well-being, promoting environmental responsibility, and fostering economic growth through private sector involvement. The plan aims to balance development across urban and rural areas, including Felda settlements, Orang Asli villages, and remote communities, focusing on improving access to clean water, quality education, comfortable housing, and digital connectivity.
The Pahang State Economic Advisory Council (MPEN), led by Tan Sri Nazir Razak, has been instrumental in guiding the implementation of PET30. The Menteri Besar emphasized that the success of PET30 requires more than policy documents; it demands tangible actions backed by strict monitoring, KPI-based performance measures, and inter-agency collaboration.
He called on all stakeholders to make the period from 2025 to 2030 one of action rather than mere planning, urging them to move beyond their comfort zones and work swiftly and responsibly to build a more prosperous future for Pahang.
