Putrajaya: The National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), under the National Security Council (MKN) of the Prime Minister's Department, will host the National Cyber Security Summit (NCSS) 2026 from July 7 to 9 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), Putrajaya.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the summit will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, practitioners, and cyber security experts to advance the country's cyber security agenda, reinforce strategic cooperation, and enhance Malaysia's cyber resilience and preparedness against evolving digital threats. The event is considered timely following the passing of the Cybercrimes Bill 2026 by the Dewan Rakyat on July 1. The bill results from the ongoing implementation of the Malaysian Cyber Security Strategy (MCSS) 2025-2030, a national strategic framework designed to guide the country's cyber security direction.
With the theme 'Strengthening Sovereign Resilience', NCSS 2026 aims to build a more secure, trusted, and resilient national cyber security ecosystem. Held in conjunction with National Security Month (BKN), the summit underscores Malaysia's commitment to enhancing awareness, cooperation, and preparedness in addressing increasingly complex cyber security threats.
NCSS 2026 will feature 41 high-impact sessions, including MCSS-related discussion forums, the Cyber Crime Forum, the ICT Security Officers (ICTSO) Convention, Women in Cyber, KRYPTECH sessions, technical presentations, and closed workshops. A total of 96 speakers and panellists from various sectors will participate, alongside 122 companies, including 78 local firms and 44 international companies from seven countries. The event will also be attended by 250 local distinguished guests and 3,000 participants, including trade visitors and conference delegates.
The summit will also see the launch of the National Security Month programme, which includes the National Security Policy (DKN) 2026-2030, National Cryptography Policy (MyKriptografi), and MyKriptografi Action Plan 2026-2030, as well as the Artificial Intelligence Systems Cybersecurity Framework (AISCF). Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to launch these initiatives.
NCSS 2026 reflects Malaysia's commitment to fostering a secure and resilient digital ecosystem through strategic partnerships, information sharing, and concerted action across the public and private sectors. It is expected to strengthen collaboration among key stakeholders while supporting the country's long-term cyber security agenda.
