Nasyrul Quran Begins Printing 20,000 Quran Copies with Tamil Translation for Global Distribution

Shah alam: Nasyrul Quran, the world's second-largest Quran printing centre, has embarked on the printing of 20,000 copies of the Quran with Tamil translation, as part of the One Million Quran Waqf Solidarity project. The initiative was symbolically launched by Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Maslan, alongside Restu Foundation chairman Datuk Dr Abdul Latif Mirasa and Malaysian Humanitarian Aid and Relief (MAHAR) president, who also serves as Ops Ihsan chairman, Jismi Johari.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nasyrul Quran has announced that 20,000 waqf copies of the Quran are ready for distribution to Zanzibar, Tanzania. This distribution aims to bolster Islamic education and empower Muslim communities in the region that are in need of high-quality Quran prints. Additionally, Nasyrul Quran has allocated 10,000 waqf copies for post-disaster aid in Malaysia, Aceh, and Southern Thailand, to replace those damaged by natural disasters.

Deputy Works Minister Ahmad highlighted that this initiative is a da'wah responsibility that extends beyond geographical boundaries. He emphasized that the One Million Quran initiative seeks to ensure that every Muslim has access to a Quran they can comprehend. The printing of these Tamil-translated copies is a strategic measure to reach millions of Tamil speakers, while the distribution to Zanzibar and disaster-stricken areas underscores the solidarity of Malaysian Muslims with their global counterparts.

The One Million Quran Waqf Solidarity project, inspired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is committed to distributing Quran copies with translations in various languages worldwide.
