Melaka: The Melaka government, through the State Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Council, is expanding its network of collaboration with industry players to provide more opportunities for graduates and youth in the state. State Investment, Industry and TVET Development Committee Deputy Chairman Datuk Khaidirah Abu Zahar announced that more than 30 companies are currently involved in the implementation of the National Dual Training System (SLDN) in Melaka.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, most of these companies are engaged in the automated, manufacturing, electrical and electronic (EandE), and electric vehicle (EV) industries. The initiative aims to extend its reach into other sectors, including the food and pharmaceutical industries, to further enhance opportunities for local youth and graduates. Datuk Khaidirah shared these developments with reporters at the Mara Skill Institute (IKM).
Earlier, Datuk Khaidirah handed over Early Schooling Aid to 340 primary and secondary school students in the Rim state constituency, highlighting the government’s commitment to supporting education and skill development in the region.
