Malaysia, Pakistan Call For Concrete Action To End Suffering In Gaza

Kuala lumpur: Malaysia and Pakistan have jointly urged the international community to take concrete action to end the prolonged suffering of millions of Palestinians in Gaza. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that both nations stand united in calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and for humanitarian access to Gaza to be restored without delay.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s unwavering stance, emphasizing the need for concrete proposals to end the misery faced by Gaza and Palestine. He made these remarks during a joint press conference with visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

Anwar mentioned that Malaysia views favorably the 20-point peace initiative proposed by United States President Donald Trump, although it maintains reservations on certain aspects. He highlighted the initiative’s call for a cessation of hostilities and the growing international consensus against the actions of the Israeli regime in Gaza.

The Prime Minister also expressed hope for sustainable peace with the support of the United States and the broader international community, stressing the urgency of humanitarian assistance. He emphasized the horrors faced by civilians, particularly women and children, in the ongoing conflict.
