Nanning: The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) eyes export sales of RM230 million at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), scheduled to take place from Sept 17 to 21, 2025 in Nanning, China.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian delegation to the 22nd CAEXPO brings together over 70 organisations, including three ministries, six key government agencies, and a wide range of Malaysian exhibitors from various industries. Under the leadership of MATRADE, the Malaysia Pavilion will present a comprehensive showcase of the nation’s supply capabilities.
Malaysia is well known for its durian, white coffee, and bird’s nest, which are favourites in the market. However, this year, MATRADE is highlighting a broad spectrum of offerings, including education, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, construction materials, and high-value sectors such as logistics, distribution solutions, technology, and artificial intelligence. This diverse range of offerings underscores Malaysia’s growing capabilities and readiness to meet the evolving demands of the Chinese and ASEAN markets.
To optimise Malaysia’s participation at CAEXPO, MATRADE has curated a series of promotional programmes, including targeted business matching sessions, product showcases, and networking opportunities. These initiatives aim to elevate the visibility of Malaysian brands, foster partnerships, and accelerate export growth to China, a key trading partner for Malaysia.
In collaboration with the China Construction Bank (CCB) and the Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Expo, MATRADE will host the 7th Malaysia-China B2B Business Matching Session 2025 on Sept 16 in Nanning. This event will feature over 130 pre-arranged business meetings between Malaysian exporters and Chinese buyers, serving as a platform to explore new trade opportunities and secure export deals.
Marking its first-ever physical edition, this year’s session demonstrates MATRADE’s commitment to facilitating face-to-face engagements and real-time business negotiations, enhancing Malaysia’s presence at the 22nd CAEXPO. Additionally, MATRADE will organise site visits for Malaysian companies to the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park (CMQIP) and the China-ASEAN Mercantile Exchange (CAMEX) to provide insights into China’s business ecosystem and explore opportunities for long-term collaboration.
The CAEXPO remains a crucial trade platform bridging ASEAN and China, and Malaysia’s participation in its 22nd edition is anticipated to yield significant trade and investment opportunities.
