Johor bahru: Malaysia continues to work with international law enforcement agencies to track down and bring back Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Low, to face charges related to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal. The effort is being coordinated through the Home Ministry, which remains dedicated to collaborating with international authorities, according to a statement from Bukit Aman’s Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail previously confirmed that there was no solid evidence indicating Jho Low’s presence in China. In light of this, Malaysia is intensifying its cooperation with international law enforcement agencies to locate the elusive individual.
The CCID also emphasized that, to date, no verified evidence links Jho Low to the use of a fake passport or confirms his presence in Shanghai, countering recent media reports. Allegations had emerged suggesting that Jho Low was residing in an exclusive area in Shanghai using a fake Australian passport, but these claims remain unsubstantiated.
