Jumio: Jumio, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered identity intelligence provider, has introduced Jumio Watch, a continuous identity intelligence solution aimed at enhancing how organisations manage identity risk. The new solution shifts identity verification from a one-time onboarding decision to a continuous process, analysing identity signals over time to detect changes in risk.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, early studies by Jumio indicate that there is up to a 25 per cent increase in risk detection after the initial onboarding process, as new intelligence allows organisations to reassess previously approved users. Bala Kumar, Jumio's president and chief product and technology officer, stated that risk evolves and identity strategies should do the same. He emphasized that Jumio Watch enables customers to detect risks that become visible over time, moving past static onboarding decisions.
Philipp Pointner, Jumio's chief of digital identity, highlighted that the platform offers continuous assurance for organisations dealing with fraud and compliance risks. He pointed out that Jumio Watch transforms identity into a continuous, intelligent signal, helping organisations remain compliant, reduce fraud exposure, and make more informed decisions.
The launch of Jumio Watch comes in response to increasing fraud risks driven by advanced AI-enabled techniques, such as deepfakes and synthetic identities. Jumio Watch is built on the Jumio Identity Graph, which examines patterns and connections across millions of identities globally to identify risks that may not be apparent within a single organisation.
The solution is intended for fraud, compliance, and security teams across various sectors, including financial services, gaming, and digital platforms. It includes features like post-verification flagging, proactive risk alerts, and portfolio-level risk management. Jumio Watch is currently available, with plans to introduce additional capabilities through 2026 as the company seeks to expand its continuous identity intelligence offerings.
