Johor bahru: Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Pasir Raja state constituency, Mohd Fakharuddin Moslim, is using a hybrid strategy to win over voters with just four days left before the Johor state election.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Fakharuddin explained that the hybrid approach combines aggressive face-to-face campaigning with a strong presence on social media platforms. This method has allowed his team to complete a 100 percent tour across all localities in the state constituency. The strategy has enabled them to physically approach traditional voter groups while also engaging young people and outstation voters through social media.
Mohd Fakharuddin stated that this dual approach has allowed them to engage with various segments of society, including small traders, farmers, youths, and Felda settlers. He emphasized that their campaign machinery has covered the entire Pasir Raja state constituency, including remote areas such as Sungai Redan. With all localities visited, the focus in the final days is on conducting a second round to bolster voter confidence.
Meanwhile, Mohd Fakharuddin acknowledged that young people are a crucial group in the current political landscape. He believes that digital platforms are the best medium to encourage them to return home to vote. He aims to ensure that the message reaches young voters' gadgets, emphasizing that every vote in Pasir Raja is vital for the area's future.
Drawing on his background as a Felda settler's son and a second-generation resident, he has built a close relationship with voters on the ground. He expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Felda residents, noting that the acceptance from the first generation deeply touched his heart. During his campaign, he has been invited to engage with residents in informal settings, strengthening his connection with the community.
Mohd Fakharuddin is contesting in a three-cornered race in the Pasir Raja constituency, which has 29,818 registered voters, against BN candidate Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba and Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Yuhanita Yunan.
