Putrajaya: The Information Department (JAPEN), in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), is set to extend the ‘1 House 1 Jalur Gemilang’ campaign to the industrial sector. This initiative aims to further enliven the spirit of the 2025 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, JAPEN’s Communications and Community Development Service Division director Muhammad Najmi Mustapha revealed that the collaboration will initially target selected petrol stations and supermarkets in the Klang Valley. The implementation is anticipated to commence in the near future.
Muhammad Najmi stated that JAPEN plans to expand the campaign beyond government agencies to include the industrial sector, working in unison with the KPDN. Strategic locations such as petrol stations and selected supermarkets have been identified for the installation of the Jalur Gemilang.
He emphasized that the ‘1 House 1 Jalur Gemilang’ campaign is designed to foster patriotism among the public, reinforcing the spirit of independence and unity. The campaign was launched in conjunction with the 2025 National Month and the Fly the Jalur Gemilang campaign in Muar, Johor on July 27 and will continue until September 16.
The initiative is not limited to Putrajaya but is being implemented nationwide through state-level JAPEN offices, involving 1,878 MADANI Communities across Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak. Between 200 and 300 Jalur Gemilang flags will be distributed at each identified location.
Meanwhile, Presint 11 Police Station chief Sub-Inspector Amir Jaafar highlighted the significance of the collaboration between JAPEN and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM). He noted that the campaign not only fosters patriotism but also strengthens the bond between PDRM and other government agencies.
Amir pointed out that a symbolic convoy involving PDRM and JAPEN personnel took place, covering 6.8 kilometres from the Putrajaya IPD to the Presint 11 Police Station, in commemoration of the country’s 68 years of independence. The police quarters in Presint 11 have shown strong support for the National Month campaign, with all 48 staff housing units displaying the Jalur Gemilang.
