Kuala lumpur: The National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN) is targeting the participation of 20,000 micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs in its e-Invoice seminars aimed at streamlining business operations. Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick announced that to date, around 11,000 entrepreneurs have taken part in the programme, with a total of 23 seminars scheduled by INSKEN this year.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the response has been encouraging, indicating that entrepreneurs are eager to understand the concept of e-Invoicing and how they can adapt to this technology. Minister Ewon Benedick shared these insights with reporters after officiating the MADANI Entrepreneur Seminar: e-Invoicing at the Cultural Centre.
Ewon emphasized that INSKEN needs to support the development of social enterprises in collaboration with various stakeholders, including state governments and relevant agencies. He noted that under the 13th Malaysia Plan, the ministry would continue to prioritize the adoption of digital solutions among MSME entrepreneurs nationwide.
The minister also expressed his hope that the newly appointed INSKEN chief executive officer, Viviantie Saruji, who took office on July 1, would show strong commitment and align her vision with the ministry and other relevant agencies. Ewon highlighted the importance of tailoring initiatives to the unique needs of each state, acknowledging that challenges in Sabah and Sarawak may differ from those in other regions of Peninsular Malaysia.
