IACA and MACA Explore Strategic Cooperation for Anti-Corruption Education

Kuala lumpur: The International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA) have reaffirmed their commitment to exploring strategic collaboration in the areas of training module development, academic programs, and expert resource sharing-key components in global anti-corruption efforts.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), in a statement, said the commitment was expressed during a courtesy visit by IACA dean Professor Slagjana Taseva to MACA senior director Datuk Mohd Hafaz Nazar at the academy yesterday.

‘IACA conveyed its readiness to share expertise through strategic cooperation with MACA, particularly in strengthening anti-corruption education,’ the statement said.

The two-hour meeting also discussed potential areas of collaboration to support global efforts in promoting integrity and anti-corruption initiatives.

Also present were IACA international senior advisory board member Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed and MACC International Relations, Policy, Planning and Research Division head, Nik Nurzai Mohd Zainudin.

IACA is an international postgraduate institution dedicated to education, research, and training in the fields of integrity and anti-corruption, while MACA serves as Malaysia’s premier training center for enhancing the competencies of personnel involved in anti-corruption enforcement and prevention.

Mohd Hafaz said MACA remains open to collaboration with IACA, particularly through the exchange of knowledge and best practices, and is prepared to formalize the partnership under a future memorandum of understanding (MoU).
