Kuala lumpur: Global supply chain leader HAVI will open its TechHUB in Malaysia in November this year, one of only four such hubs worldwide and its first in Asia Pacific. The HAVI TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur would cement Malaysia's role as a strategic centre for digital supply chain innovation across the region, said the company in a statement today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, HAVI's chief digital and information officer, Reto Sahli, emphasized that Malaysia offers a unique blend of technology ambition, multilingual talent, and regional connectivity, supporting the next phase of the company's growth in Asia Pacific. Through the Kuala Lumpur TechHUB, HAVI aims to develop digital solutions for its customers and operations, while also creating opportunities for Malaysian professionals to engage in global roles and influence supply chain evolution across the region.
The Kuala Lumpur TechHUB is set to integrate regional market insights, digital expertise, and both local and international talent to develop solutions tailored for Asia-Pacific supply chains. The focus areas include AI-driven forecasting, data analytics, automation, and IoT-enabled fleet management, all contributing to more responsive and resilient logistics operations across the region.
Since March 2026, the TechHUB has employed 50 technology professionals and expects to expand to 100 employees by the end of the year. The roles include demand forecasting, data analytics, product management, software engineering, cybersecurity, cloud operations, and change management.
HAVI pointed out that Malaysia's logistics and supply chain sector is undergoing a period of accelerated transformation, with the market projected to grow to US$31.23 billion in 2026, and to reach US$40.11 billion by 2031 from US$29.70 billion in 2025. This growth is fueled by sustained e-commerce momentum, supply chain modernization, and increasing demand for automation.
Additionally, Malaysia's digital economy is gaining momentum, with RM87.4 billion in approved digital investments recorded in 2025, anticipated to create over 31,000 high-value jobs.
