Alleged Sabotage Incidents Won’t Affect PH Campaign Momentum, Says Fuziah

Johor bahru: The Pakatan Harapan (PH) campaign in constituencies contested by its candidates in the Johor State Election continues to run smoothly despite several minor incidents described as sabotage attempts. PKR secretary-general Datuk Fuziah Salleh stated that these incidents included the removal and damage of posters, as well as the burning of party flags, yet they have not affected the overall momentum of the ongoing PH campaign.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fuziah assured that the campaign remains calm and on track despite the disturbances. She emphasized that the intensity of PH's campaign in the Johor polls is being maintained with candidates participating in up to 10 programmes daily from dawn until midnight. Fuziah highlighted that feedback from voters, particularly youths and first-time voters, has been very positive, reflecting increasing support for the Federal ruling coalition.

At a press conference held in conjunction with a review of the Budi MADANI Diesel subsidy assistance mechanism, Fuziah addressed questions related to the PH candidates for the Skudai and Perlis state seats. She clarified that the statements made by candidates were not official party manifestos but rather pledges to address local issues in their respective areas. Fuziah explained that while these commitments are important, they do not equate to the comprehensive state policies that would be included in the official manifesto.

The PH manifesto for the Johor state election is anticipated to be announced tomorrow. A total of 172 candidates are contesting the upcoming election, with polling scheduled for July 11 and early voting on July 7.
