Kuala lumpur: The Schools Inspectorate, District Education Office and Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur Education Department have been directed to promptly complete an internal investigation into the alleged bullying and discrimination at a school here recently. Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek emphasized that matters of public concern, including those related to bullying and racial elements, must be addressed based on facts and due processes.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fadhlina expressed her sympathies with the family and the school community following the recent passing of a school student in Kuala Lumpur. The Ministry of Education (MOE) is fully cooperating with police and collaborating closely with the Social Welfare Department and the Ministry of Health to ensure thorough handling of the situation.
Fadhlina noted that attention and appropriate support are being provided to the affected families, students, teachers, and the school community. The family of the deceased student has received psychosocial support from the MOE counselling team, and teachers have been briefed on the ongoing investigation and legal processes to ensure their welfare is prioritized.
The MOE Smart Support Team has been mobilised to provide psychosocial support and crisis intervention to affected students to safeguard their welfare and emotional well-being. Fadhlina concluded by stating that the priority is to ensure justice for all parties and to maintain a safe educational environment free from bullying and discrimination.
