Kuala lumpur: Sixty air quality monitoring stations across the country recorded moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 11am today, according to the Environment Department’s Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) website.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, eight monitoring stations registered good API readings. These stations include Kota Kinabalu Polytechnic, Kota Kinabalu, and Kimanis in Sabah, the Miri Industrial Training Institute, Sri Aman, Kapit, Limbang in Sarawak, and Labuan. Notably, no areas recorded unhealthy API readings.
The API readings are categorized as follows: 0 to 50 indicates good air quality, 51 to 100 is moderate, 101 to 200 is unhealthy, 201 to 300 is very unhealthy, and readings above 300 are considered hazardous. The API data is released hourly, based on readings from 68 air quality monitoring stations across the country.
