Jakarta: A total of 15 Malaysian companies are showcasing construction materials, green technology solutions and related innovations at Construction Indonesia 2025 from Sept 10 to 13, one of the largest and longest-running construction exhibitions in Indonesia.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the delegation includes three private companies under SIRIM, 12 private companies, and the National Landscape Department through the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE). The Malaysian ambassador to Indonesia, Datuk Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tengku Hussin, officiated the Malaysia Pavilion at the Jakarta International Expo on Wednesday, accompanied by MATRADE Jakarta trade commissioner Suresh Kumar R. Palasanthiran.

Syed Mohamad Hasrin expressed his hopes that Malaysian companies can offer their quality products in Indonesia, which was ranked seventh for Malaysia’s construction services export destinations last year. ‘The focus this time is on sustainability, green technology, and supporting safe and sustainable urban and infrastructure development, thus contributing to the sustainable development goals,’ he stated in a release.

He highlighted that several products used natural, eco-friendly materials, making them suitable for the local market, as Malaysia and Indonesia share a climate with similar humidity and temperature levels. Construction Indonesia, held for the past 25 years, is considered a benchmark for the Indonesian construction sector and serves as a strategic platform for local and international industry players.

In contrast to previous editions dominated by heavy machinery, this year’s exhibition also features supporting industries, architecture, and smart technology, reflecting an evolving focus towards sustainable development practices in the construction industry.
