Kuala lumpur: A total of 12 million Malaysians have registered for MyDigital ID as of June 30, marking a significant milestone in the country's digital transformation efforts. The initiative has facilitated 16 million transactions, including registrations, renewals, and cancellations of digital identities.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced the government's ongoing efforts to broaden the use of MyDigital ID as a unified sign-on system for accessing online government services. This is part of an integration strategy being executed at both federal and state levels. A directive issued by the Chief Secretary to the Government on January 14, 2025, mandates all ministries, federal departments, statutory bodies, state secretaries, and local authorities to adopt the MyDigital ID system.
Dr. Ahmad Zahid further elaborated that, as of June 25, 2026, 114 online government services have been successfully integrated with MyDigital ID. These services include MyJPJ, MyPTPTN, SPA9, and the Royal Malaysia Police's (PDRM) MyBayar platform. The information was shared in a written response to Wong Shu Qi (PH-Kluang), who inquired about the number of MyDigital ID registrations as of May 31, 2026, and the steps taken by the government to ensure accessibility of online platforms via MyDigital ID.
As Rural and Regional Development Minister, Dr. Ahmad Zahid also highlighted the integration of MyDigital ID with the MyGOV Malaysia platform, developed by the National Digital Department (JDN). This integration allows users to access a variety of government services using a single digital identity verification mechanism. On the state level, 19 online applications have been incorporated into the MyDigital ID system, with 28 additional applications currently under development.
