Kelantan: Kelantan Red Warriors FC (KRW FC) has stressed that the club is not involved in the salary arrears claim lodged by former Kelantan FC Assistant Coach Pol Corpas with FIFA. In a statement today, KRW FC said the foreign assistant coach should instead seek the outstanding wages from his former club.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, KRW FC clarified that Pol Corpas, who served with the club during the 2022/2023 season, should submit any claims or related matters to the management of his former club, which still exists to this day. KRW FC, established in 2024, asserted that it is not involved in the issue. The club emphasized that it has provided an official explanation to FIFA, which has been accepted, allowing KRW FC to register players to compete this season.
The issue resurfaced after the club sought to register new import players following the opening of the second transfer window this season. KRW FC confirmed that it has been subjected to a FIFA transfer ban since December 19, resulting in delays in several club matters, particularly the registration of new players. This sanction followed a report by Pol Corpas and his lawyer, who attempted to link KRW FC to his former club, prompting FIFA to impose the punishment.
KRW FC stated that the club's current management took over from the previous management beginning in August 2025, clearly demonstrating that the club's administration is entirely different and not involved with the club that gave rise to Pol Corpas' report. The KRW FC management acknowledged the viral nature of the issue regarding the FIFA transfer ban and urged all parties, especially loyal supporters, to obtain official information from the club regarding any circulating issues.
The club also called on everyone to continue giving unwavering support to KRW FC to ensure that success accompanies the club and the team until the end of this season.
