Assen: Less than a week after creating a sensation with his maiden Moto3 victory at the Czech Republic Grand Prix (GP), young national rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli chose not to dwell on the success he achieved last Sunday for too long. On the other hand, the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSI rider, better known as Hakim Danish, described the next race at the Dutch GP from June 26-28 at the Assen Circuit as a new beginning that demands the same level of focus as when he topped the Czech Republic GP at the Brno Circuit.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, with growing confidence and experience gained previously, the 18-year-old rider hopes to take advantage of every session throughout the race weekend to chase another positive result, thus maintaining the excellent momentum at the Dutch GP. "Now my focus is fully on the race at Assen this weekend. In Assen, I need to do the same thing as in Brno, which is to get a rhythm as early as free practice session 1," he said in a statement today.
Hakim Danish emphasized the importance of finding speed from the start and quickly understanding the character of the circuit and the machine. He aims to adapt to the machine as soon as possible to build the necessary confidence for the race weekend. Despite the challenges posed by the technical and high-speed corners of the Assen Circuit, he is determined to make the most of every moment at the Dutch GP.
At the Czech Republic GP, Hakim Danish started from 14th place but showcased mature and aggressive riding by overtaking his rivals one by one before crossing the finish line first, clocking a time of 33 minutes 34.26 seconds. Spanish rider Brian Uriarte of the Red Bull KTM Ajo team finished second, 0.466 seconds behind, while Marco Quiles of the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team completed the podium.
Last month, Hakim Danish made his first podium of the season by finishing third at the Italian GP at the Circuit Mugello. His recent success at the Czech Republic GP ended Malaysia's 10-year wait for a victory in the Moto3 competition, a feat last achieved by Khairul Idham Pawi at the Argentine GP and the German GP during the 2016 season.
