Kuala lumpur: A total of 8,006 volunteers have been appointed to assist with this year's Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, marking the highest number since the initiative was launched in 2023, said Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a Facebook post today, Fadhlina noted that the total number of volunteers who have participated in the initiative over the past three years has reached 20,997. This increase in volunteer numbers is part of ongoing efforts to address the workload of teachers during the examination period.
Fadhlina emphasized, "We will never stop trying, finding ways to deal with the workload of teachers. This ensures that educators can fully focus on teaching and learning tasks while at the same time maintaining their well-being." The initiative reflects a commitment to support teachers by exploring methods to alleviate their responsibilities, ensuring they can concentrate on their primary educational roles.
The appointment of volunteers serves as a strategic measure to enhance the examination process, allowing educators to dedicate themselves to the core aspects of teaching. The increase in volunteer numbers is seen as a positive development in the ongoing efforts to improve the educational environment for both teachers and students.
