Zi Yu-Noraqilah Reflects on Runner-Up Finish at China Masters

Baoji: National women's doubles player Low Zi Yu admitted that she and her doubles partner Noraqilah Maisarah Ramdan had mixed feelings after finishing the China Masters championship as runners-up. Although she was happy securing a podium finish, she was dissatisfied with the pair's performance in the final at Baoji Gymnasium, where they lost 13-21, 17-21 to the Japanese pair Sumire Nakade-Miyu Takahashi in 32 minutes.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Zi Yu expressed that while they were pleased to be on the podium, they were simultaneously unhappy because they did not play well. She noted that during the final, their consistency faltered, possibly due to nervousness, which is something they need to address.

Zi Yu also shared her hopes for better performance as they prepare for their first Malaysia Masters, set to begin on Tuesday. The Super 500 Malaysia Masters offers a prize pool of US$475,000 (RM1.876 juta).
