Bukit indah: A 19-year-old Rohingya woman has been charged with murder after a foetus was discovered in a plastic bag in an alley near Taman Nusa Idaman, Bukit Indah on July 5.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Iskandar Puteri district police chief ACP M. Kumarasan stated that the woman was arrested on the day of the incident and has been charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code. A 34-year-old local man, who was also present at the scene when the foetus was discovered, will serve as a prosecution witness.
Kumarasan revealed that the woman was apprehended at a hotel in Bukit Indah. The man involved has two previous records linked to criminal and drug-related offences, while the woman has no prior records. Urine screening tests conducted on both suspects returned negative results.
