UniSIRAJ Joins QS Rankings to Boost Global Standing

Perlis:Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (UniSIRAJ) is taking steps to enhance its international reputation by registering with the QS Rankings system this year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, highlighted this development as a significant milestone for the university. He noted that it signifies UniSIRAJ's readiness to be evaluated against global university performance metrics.

The registration with QS Rankings is seen as a strategic move to develop UniSIRAJ's profile, improve data management, and identify strengths and areas for improvement based on international standards. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra emphasized the university's commitment to academic excellence, research, graduate employability, and international collaboration.

The announcement was made during a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between UniSIRAJ and the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. The ceremony was attended by the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, their daughter Hajah Sharifah Farah Adriana Jamalullail, and Malaysia's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Rafedah Abdul Aziz. Representing UniSIRAJ was Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhamad Rozaimi Ramle, while Rector Kamilov Muzafar Mirotovich represented the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra indicated that participation in the QS Rankings would foster a data-driven, benchmark-oriented management culture at UniSIRAJ, enabling the university to measure its performance against other institutions. This initiative aims to attract more international students and staff, enhancing the university's global collaborations.

Efforts will focus on improving academic quality, research output, international networks, employability, and mobility of students and staff. Strengthening international partnerships and managing institutional data with quality and integrity are also key priorities.
