Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Expected in Kuala Lumpur and 10 States Until 7 PM

Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to hit the federal capital and 10 states until 7 PM tonight.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia announced in a statement that the affected states include Kedah-covering Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu-and Penang, which involves Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah, and Seberang Perai Selatan. Perak is also on the alert, with areas such as Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim expected to experience similar weather conditions.

The warning extends to Selangor, with districts including Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, and Hulu Langat. Pahang is also under the watch, affecting Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin. Terengganu's Dungun and Kemaman, alongside Kuala Lumpur, are also included in the alert.

Additionally, Negeri Sembilan's Jelebu, Jempol, and Tampin, as well as Jasin in Melaka and parts of Johor, are expected to be impacted. In Sarawak, areas such as Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, and several regions within Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, and Kapit are under the weather warning.
