Thunderstorms And Heavy Rain Expected Across Peninsular Malaysia Until 9 PM

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning concerning impending thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds that are expected to affect several areas in Peninsular Malaysia until 9 PM today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the advisory highlights that the entire state of Perlis and multiple districts in Kedah, including Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, and Pendang, will be impacted.

Moreover, the warning extends to various locations in Perak, such as Kuala Kangsar, Hulu Perak, Selama, Larut Matang, and Kerian. In Kelantan, districts like Tanah Merah, Machang, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, and Tumpat are also under alert. Meanwhile, in Pahang, regions including Maran, Rompin, Pekan, and Kuantan are expected to experience severe weather conditions. The advisory also covers Johor, particularly Johor Bahru.

Residents in these regions are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure safety during the adverse weather conditions forecasted by MetMalaysia.
