Kuala Lumpur:The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan, and other regions until 7 pm today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the adverse weather conditions are expected to impact areas in Kedah, including Kuala Muda, Sik, and Baling, as well as several districts in Perak such as Hulu Perak, Selama, Kerian, Larut Matang, Kuala Kangsar, Hilir Perak, and Bagan Datuk. Kelantan is also on alert, particularly Kuala Krai and Jeli.
The warning extends to Terengganu, with Kemaman, Dungun, and Hulu Terengganu being affected, and to Pahang, including Rompin, Maran, Temerloh, and Bera. In Selangor, areas like Hulu Langat, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Sepang, and Kuala Langat are under alert.
In Negeri Sembilan, Seremban and Port Dickson are expected to experience the severe weather, while in Johor, Segamat, Tangkak, Muar, Kluang, Batu Pahat, Johor Bahru, Kulai, and Pontian are affected.
The weather warning also covers parts of Sarawak, including Mukah, Sibu, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri, Limbang, Sri Aman, Samarahan, Betong, Serian, and Kuching. In Sabah, the Interior Division and West Coast Division are on alert, with areas such as Beaufort, Membakut, Sipitang, Tambunan, Keningau, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Papar, Penampang, Tuaran, Kota Kinabalu, Putatan, and Kota Belud facing potential severe weather.
