Tahfiz Teacher Secures First Table Tennis Gold for Negeri Sembilan at Para SUKMA

Kuala lumpur: A tahfiz teacher, Muhamad Bazli Alias, representing Negeri Sembilan, has demonstrated his individual prowess by clinching the gold medal in the men's wheelchair singles table tennis event, class 1-3 (physical disability).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhamad Bazli, 37, triumphed in today's final by overcoming Sabah's Muhamad Liza Mat Sittim with scores of 11-9, 11-9, 10-12, and 11-5. This victory marks the first gold medal for Negeri Sembilan in table tennis in the current edition.

Muhamad Bazli expressed his satisfaction, stating, "I have won gold before but not in the singles event. So I am satisfied to get the singles gold which is also the first gold for Negeri Sembilan in table tennis." He also revealed his aspiration to represent Malaysia at the ASEAN Para Games next year if the event takes place.

In the fight for third place, Nur Izhar Idham secured a bronze medal by defeating his opponent from Penang in straight sets with scores of 11-7, 11-4, and 11-5.
