Sultan Of Pahang Urges Caution During Water Activities In High-Risk Areas

Pahang: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, along with the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, has advised the public to exercise caution while participating in water activities, especially in high-risk areas like beaches, rivers, and water recreation centers.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Their Royal Highnesses emphasized the importance of prioritizing safety during such activities. They urged individuals to wear life jackets when at sea or in open waters and to avoid unsupervised activities or those conducted in unsafe locations. Additionally, parents and guardians were specifically advised to monitor their children's movements and safety near water areas to prevent any untoward incidents.

The Sultan and the Tengku Ampuan highlighted that staying cautious, being aware of surroundings, and adhering to safety measures can significantly reduce the risk of accidents and save lives. Their Royal Highnesses also extended condolences to the families of two students, Luqman Kamil Jamaluddin, 16, and Muhammad Fauzan Aziman Mohd Saad, 18, who drowned in separate incidents in Kuantan and Maran. They prayed for the deceased to be placed among the righteous and expressed hope for the families to find strength and ease in facing their loss.
