Klang:The ongoing search for the last missing angler at One Fathom Bank near Pulau Ketam has not produced any new developments. The Selangor Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) continues to patrol the waters between Selangor and the Perak border to locate the missing individual.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the director of the Selangor MMEA, Maritime Captain Abdul Muhaimin Muhammad Salleh, stated that although the official search and rescue (SAR) operation has concluded, routine patrols are still being carried out with the help of local fishermen and the maritime community. Despite the lack of new information, any leads can be reported directly to the MMEA for further action.

Abdul Muhaimin acknowledged that the likelihood of finding the missing angler diminishes with time. However, efforts to locate the individual continue. The SAR operation, which spanned six days, involved both sea and air searches, covering 3,887 square nautical miles across the waters off Selangor and Perak, including areas such as Hutan Melintang and Bagan Datuk.

The search commenced on September 14 following a report of seven anglers missing at One Fathom Bank. Four of the anglers were found safe, while two others, Muhammad Ridzuan Ruhaizat, 37, and Mohamad Shahril Abd Rahman, 43, were discovered deceased in the waters off Hutan Melintang last week. The search remains ongoing for the last missing angler, identified as Raja Mohd Rozi Raja Mahamud, 49.
