Serian:All schools in the Serian district will be closed temporarily tomorrow due to worsening haze conditions that are affecting air quality.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sarawak Education Department decided to close the schools after the Air Pollutant Index (API) reading in the district exceeded 201.

The closure will affect 108 schools, with home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) set to be implemented during this period. The Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) portal recorded an API reading of 217 in Serian as of 10 pm today.
