Sabak bernam: The Sabak Bernam District Education Office (PPD), with an investment of RM16.93 million, has become the first PPD in Malaysia to incorporate the Industrial Design concept into its interior space, marking a significant milestone in the country's educational infrastructure.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor Public Works Department (JKR) director Shukri Ishak explained that the new building was constructed to offer a more conducive working environment and to enhance the quality of educational service delivery in the district. He highlighted that the building's adoption of the Industrial Design concept sets a unique visual identity under the Ministry of Education (MOE).
The building's launch was marked by an officiation by the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, as part of the ongoing Program Gagasan Rumpun Selangor (GRS) Daerah Sabak Bernam 2026. Shukri further noted that the construction spanned 183 weeks, from July 21, 2021, to March 19, culminating in a four-story structure with 90 rooms and workspaces, designed for improved service delivery and safety.
Sabak Bernam district education officer Marhani M. Haniff emphasized that the new facility is poised to significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the PPD management, benefiting 71 staff members and supporting the needs of 64 schools in the district. The facility will aid 20,534 students, 2,242 teachers, and 398 support staff members in maintaining educational standards.
