Anwar Ibrahim Inaugurates Cyber Security Cryptology Development Centre

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today visited the Malaysian Cryptology Technology and Management Centre (PTPKM) and witnessed the establishment of the Cyber Security Cryptology Development Centre (CSCDC).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, during the visit, Anwar also observed the appointment of Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, as chairman of the CSCDC board of directors. This move is expected to fortify the leadership and guidance of the newly established centre.

Anwar highlighted the Post-Quantum Cryptography initiative, which is being spearheaded by PTPKM's young talents through the PQC Sandbox programme. This initiative is part of the efforts to enhance Malaysia's cyber security and cryptology capabilities, as shared in a Facebook post by the Prime Minister.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister urged younger generations to continue mastering strategic technologies. He emphasized that this is crucial to ensuring Malaysia's cyber security and digital sovereignty remain secure.

PTPKM plays a pivotal role as the country's principal entity responsible for the research, development, and management of cyber security and cryptographic systems.
