Papar: The Deputy Secretary-General of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, expressed appreciation to the voters for giving the mandate to the party in three State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats in the Papar Parliament during the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Armizan, who is also the Member of Parliament for Papar, announced that the three DUNs – Limbahau, Kawang, and Pantai Manis – were secured by the party’s candidates. He conveyed his gratitude through a Facebook post, stating, “A million thanks, Paparians (GRS 3-0). God willing, we will fulfill this mandate to the best of our ability.”
In the recent PRN, the Limbahau DUN featured a nine-cornered contest with GRS candidate Datuk Juil Nuati emerging victorious. The Kawang DUN, represented by Datuk Seri Ghulamhaidar Yusof Khan Bahadar, was a five-cornered fight, while the Pantai Manis DUN had a seven-cornered clash, including GRS candidate Datuk Pengiran Saifuddin Pengiran Tahir.
This Sabah PRN witnessed a total of 596 candidates competing for the 73 DUN seats available.
