Sabah Agro Expo 2026 Expected To Attract 50,000 Visitors

Kota kinabalu: The three-day Sabah Agro Expo (SAEX) 2026 beginning Aug 21 here is expected to attract more than 50,000 visitors, featuring over 200 exhibition booths. Event organiser ESM Exhibitor Relations Malaysia, in a statement today, said the exhibition aims to bring together the agriculture industry under one roof of innovation, business networking, and sustainable agricultural development.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, visitors can explore the latest innovations in agricultural machinery, smart farming, aquaculture, livestock, horticulture, fertilisers, seeds, biotechnology, food processing, precision agriculture, and sustainable farming solutions. The expo will also feature product launches, live demonstrations, business matching sessions, and networking opportunities.

The highlights of SAEX 2026 include a goat farming course, the Jelajah Bioekonomi programme, and expert talks by industry specialists including Malaysia's renowned durian expert Lim Chin Khee. Ginger cultivation specialist Calvin Chin and salted egg production expert Jessie Ambukon will also deliver talks during the event.

Sabah Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister Datuk Jamawi Jaafar is expected to officiate the opening ceremony. Meanwhile, ESM Exhibitor Relations Malaysia managing director Datuk Dayang Khatijah Datu Bachtiyal said SAEX 2026 is more than just an exhibition. It is a strategic platform that brings together industry leaders, government agencies, entrepreneurs, and innovators to accelerate the growth of Sabah's agriculture sector.
